Green Smoothies


Many of us have been inspired by Aubrey to start drinking green smoothies (part fruit, party green leafy vegetables). I thought we should have a space to share our new combinations.
If you have not tried one yet, I highly recommend it. You can see even my 3 year old Anya likes them now.

  1. Here are the combos my daughter and I have been trying. All have been yummy.

    Put a good amount of liquid. For my daughter, I include more juice. For myself, I use more cocunut water.
    Apple Juice
    Mango Juice
    Orange Juice
    Cocunut Water

    Then, I've put the following greens. I always put part of an avocado because I like the texture in makes in the smoothie
    Spinach
    Kale
    Watercress
    Avocadoes

    Finally, I put part of a banana or apple in for some extra sweetness.
    Banana
    Apple

  2. I just tried adding mustard greens, flaxseeds and wheatgrass (frozen kind) to my normal recipe and it was pretty good.
